if you drill the hole deep enough for a thermistor in 110 heads you will go 
thru into the chamber.  been there done that many years ago.  there is a 
snowmobile head temp sensor that goes under a sparkplug that will work darn close. 
cant remember who made it but i had one on an engine for many years that 
appeared to work well.  looks like a copper washer with stainless braid covering the 
hi temp wires.it was an add on from snowmobile dealers.
i lost about ten v vair digests this morning, before i was really awake, 
probably not anything pressing , but i learned how not to use my aol 9.0 delete 
thingy. only about 25 emails because i was up so late.
