Just went to one in Iowa a couple months ago.

Depends on if things can be done on site or not.  The "niceness" of the room 
is not a large factor for me.  But, would not like to listen to heavy trucks 
all night long.  Would have to have a lounge.

The Iowa one was Tues - Sat.  Are you talking "Regional" or "Mini"?  There 
IS a difference.

I ONLY go if I can drive it in one day.  Max limit is 900ish miles. 
Possibly I would reduce that, can't say for certain.  A couple hundred miles 
difference won't save me a lot on gas costs.

Other than the social aspects, I primarily go for autocross and access to 
vendors.
