Sorry I don't have a numeric answer for you (mine's in the car, like yours),
but a practical way of satisfying this "have the correct one in my hand
before" wish is to order the piece from a Corvair vendor. They'll send you
one the length you need, and with all modifications, if any, peculiar to the
(Corvair) application. This is a lot of the value they add to "just parts."
Let me know if you need names, phone numbers, etc. for the vendors I'm
referring to.

Hi all of you LM gurus.

I'd like to replace both the positive and negative battery cables in my '66
turbovert.  Does anybody know the correct length for the positive cable that
snakes down to the starter.  I'd like to have the correct one in my hand
before I pull the old one out.  Somebody for sure knows the answer to this
one.
