Is possible but you would have to "weld the spiders" so as to take the 
output from just one side. Posi would not contain the torque and if you 
lock one output then you will get a 2:1 output (for as long as the spider 
gears last - they are not designed for continuous duty).

I suppose you could build a 1:1 differential - might want to talk to one of 
the Bonneville racers.
