Charlie,unscrew the cap on the 'old' one,pull the spring out,and try catching it with a tap to get the right size-around 1/4-20 mabe...old one should come out easy,then go after the stuck one;;don't thread in much more than a turn,it'll expand the plunger to make removal harder;;pull straight out,and spray some choke cleaner in to remove the varnish..I think a 30-cal bronze bore brush may help clean in there once it's out,scotchbrite on the plunger..Tom Z
