After I blocked off the opening for the AIR tube (my 66 does not have AIR), the coil surface temperature after driving for a while dropped from 175F to about 140F (IR tester bur not very scientifically done). Wells said 175F on the coil was no problem. Might want to instrument the voltage on the + side of the coil. Padgett
