Shouldn't make any difference. We used Eudora on about 6 different
networks in the past 10 years with nary a problem. - none supported it.
I LOVE Eudora. Right balance between features, looks, and usability. Now
on Frontier and use KMail (wife), Evolution (me) and Linux (both) and
NOBODY supports Linux... <griN!> Patiently waiting for Qualcomm to put
out a Linux Eudora.

Check your registry and see if you have a bad entry. If you have too
uninstall it (it leaves your mail alone and safe), clean the registry of
dead entries (search for Eudora once it should not be there), delete
those entries and reinstall. 

Also a Google hunt for Eudora+duplicate+messages will help. The
Bellsouth guys won't do you any good.
