<VV> New Thread: Why I miss the functions I do?

My reasons:

I've been in the "oncall" status since 1986!

In my present situation....I work maybe 2 hrs. per day......BUT  have to be 
within 1 hr.  response time / distance       7 /24!

Even when I go home...280 miles from nearest gas compression site [ 5 hard 
hrs.]  I'm still "available" [  contract MAX  time for response is 4 hrs.]

I do get Vacations....but most every year something gets in the way!

Last year my elderly friend needed my assistance [ June]....this year I'll 
become a grandfather in May......so I should make Portland!

It appeared I would be able to make the Mesquite  and Sacramento meets as 
well....but they cancelled!  I'll try to get to Central Valley's meet!
