At least for '68 (and maybe '69 due to remaining inventory) the Corvair
Stereo equipment was the same as the Pontiac Firebird except for the Chevy vs
Pontiac emblems. I owned one of each (until I sold the Pontiac unit). Got them
from a local radio shop that did a lot of dealer work for local GM dealers. I
bought the Delco manuals as well. One of these days when the kids are out of
college I might even use them.

i think they showed a fm radio in the service literature for 64 corvair but
never made it happen. i have seen several with the 71-72 truck am fm or even
stereo units in them. they fit and looked factory. myself i made my own from a
pontiac unit that used the end pushbuttons as band change and put corvair
buttons on it. no one ever picked up on it. it was in my 64 spyder convert.(i
