Guys, it's under $250/pair for professionally cleaned, rebuilt, refinished housings with new Timken bearings. For something that you are essentially staking your life on, that's not too bad!

Now, I rebuilt mine myself because I had access to all the tools (big press, turned down spindle for trial fittings, parts washer, dial indicator,l random hand tools and torque wrench, cleaners, paint, big selection of shims - a glass beader would have been handy too) and a desire to fix every part of the car myself, and some uncertainty about what was going on inside those original housings.

I can see that the vendor alternative is attractive considering how much work it was to properly rebuild these units.
