I agree with Hank. Some of these e-bay ads drive me crazy! It seems like every
yard saler in America has an old set of '60-'61 "dog-dish" hubcaps with
"Corvair" on them and instantly thinks they're worth big bucks! I see them
every week with ridiculous starting bids. Also, I am constantly bugged by
sellers who list 14" wire wheel covers (both early and late) as 13". I will
always correct the seller and most will change the ad, although some will
argue with me even though they've never tried them on a wheel! Why do they
just assume that they are 13"? Check out the current e-bay ad #4529131466!
It's a real laugh! The seller is hawking a "Rare Yenko speedometer" that reads
up to 200 mph! Wow! Of course, the more logical description is that it is a
metric speedometer that reads up to 200 kph (120 mph). When informed, the
seller grudgingly admitted this "might" be true, but he hasn't changed his ad.
Let the buyer beware!
