That particular combination (red or orange with a navy interior) is very common everywhere except the US.

I don't think I've seen a stock Corvair color combination that is particularly galling, but I've seen some customs that took your breath away. (One memorable 
one was an early coupe in bright Corvette yellow with a red interior... owner loved it and it was indeed a striking combo.)
