More questions for my 66 turbo convertible..

1) Are there any decals under the hood? If so, which ones?

2) Where does the lug wrench normally reside?

Thanks,

Bob

Bob, since your car is a Canadian built Corsa there are difference in the
decals under the "hood", that is if you are trying to be correct in the
decals. I wrote an article on this in the February 1994 Communique which
outlined many of the differences with the picture for the decals. I know you
have a copy of that Communique in your literature collection from the letter
you wrote to me afterwards! Kent Sullivan has a web site with much more
listed that many of us have discovered since.

You will have a standard 180 HP air cleaner decal for a 66 Corsa turbo but
the rest are unique to Canada. You know Bording Ostergaard so give him a
call and see if he still has the Canadian decals he has made for:

Jacking Sheet

Positraction

Battery Positive and Negative

There also was a unique Canadian air cleaner decal but that was for other
than the turbo option.

All of which are in the engine compartment of a Canadian built Corvair
unlike the US built

The lug wrench resides in the engine compartment below the spare tire
mounted on the spare tire carrier as shown on the Canadian jacking sheet.
This is unlike the US built 66 Corvairs where the lug wrench was locked in
the trunk on the cover over the left turn signal. (Look what you have done,
you've made me do some more research and discover another difference!) Look
at the US Assembly Manual on page UPC 10 A3 for the US location.
