First of all, I am not a dad, so you really didn't ask my opinion, but
I'm going to give it anyway :o).
Alesia, has a very good point. If she doesn't want a Corvair, or any old
car, you could be in trouble giving her one.
On the other hand, if she is really into old cars, and more importantly,
Corvairs, AND you are an expert Corvair mechanic, AND you can do body
work, AND this can be a project that the two of you can work on
together, then get her a Corvair.
If none of the above applies, and she is a typical teenager, then she
will want lots of bling. However, I've heard from others that a used
American luxury car is a good first car. It has large mass for crash
protection, it takes lots of gas so it limits her travel :o), and they
don't cost a lot.
