My most sincere thanks to all who responded to my Paint / Concourse question. The answers were just what I needed. I will go with Base Coat - Clear Coat, my painter will be happy, and the car will have a paint job that will last and do the it justice. 

Thank you all very much, you guys are amazing: I may never make it to a Concourse, buy if I do it will be due, in large part to you all.
