<VV> Windows

I often say that the driver's window is the part that receives the most wear
on any car. I NEVER get into ANY of my cars without opening (and then
shutting, of course!) the driver's window - even in cold old Britain!

Sometimes I haven't even started the car, but open the window anyway (e.g.
when I am pushing cars round the shed).

The only part that I can think of that receives more wear is the driver's
door hinges, and they are more robust (if you keep them oiled!).

I haven't checked, but I will be surprised if the vendors don't do repro
window lift kits - and I can't think of a better way to spend your time and
money. Why not install electric ones while you're about it? I think there's
an article in the Tech Guide about how to do it.

Cheers

Alan
