<VV> rear springs

When I removed the factory springs off of my 64 Spyder convertible
recently... There was a factory white tag on each spring which had the part
number of the spring... The right side part number was DIFFERENT than the
left side number and I think the right spring was actually longer (but it
could be that the springs just settled differently  over the past 40
years)... But still; the part numbers WERE different on the two springs and
I was a bit surprised.
