G E engineers used to play with their cars at lunch time in the parking lot.
lots of strange stuff ! like rice thru carb to clean carbon came out tial
pipe expanded(before converters) water carefully poured thru carb intake at
about 2000 rpm does clean carbon and is still used by many shops today.brake
fluid in oil or trans to slow up oil leaks (it appeared to work) tranny fluid in
oil to quiet noisey lifters by cleaning varnish? i saw it work. of course
this was in the 60's so oil was not as good and cars were simpler. i have put
atf fluid in oil(1 qt at change) with results on older engines. heck i even
ran kerosine in a vair engine for a minute or two just before tearing it down
to make it easier to clean up parts. that my friend saves a lot of effort!. the
brake fluid in oil was in many car magazines of the 50's and 60's. if i
find it i will scan it in. regards, tim colson
