There are companies in the US that will help you get a title, in YOUR state, 
(US ONLY) using Alabama and Tenessee law .

Broadway Title Service is just one example. www.broadwaytitle.com

Here is a copy of their Request for Service form that explains what they do.

After reading yesterdays posts about gas and parking----Sell the house in 
France, Sell the house in England, Pack up your stuff and just move to NC!!! 
Can you not do here what you do there??? Seems like the UK doesn't want 
anyone to own a motor vehicle anymore!!  Gas in Lincolnton just "went up" to 
1.65/gal!  Had been 1.56 for about a month

Please Read ALL of the following Instructions Carefully.

1). Follow the link below to a printable form and fill out the form 
completely. ALL information MUST be PRINTED or TYPED and the form MUST be 
signed on the last line. Be Sure to include credit card information if you 
are using one to make payment. After you have completed AND NOTARIZED the

2). On Bill of Sale, LEAVE the "buyer" line BLANK. Be sure to fill out ALL 
other data, such as length (if trailer or motor-home), Weight, (truck or 
trailer) and CC's for Motorcycles. "Price" is the amount you wish to have on 
the paperwork that is returned to you. This must be the actual price paid or 
the amount you have invested in the vehicle. You cannot use our service to 
avoid paying taxes owed on vehicle. ALSO LEAVE THE "DATE" LINE BLANK.

When you sign the application and get your signature notarized, be sure to 
have the proper identification with you. A photo ID such as your drivers 
license is best.

3). The paperwork that you receive back from us will be a registration, 
letter of the title law from the issuing state, and a notarized bill of sale 
from our dealer. You will not receive a certificate of title, but you will 
receive paperwork that enables you to apply for a title in your state.
