Todd,
You'll get a number of "No, no, don't do that!" answers on this.  Since
you're rebuilding, you certainly don't need the big pump, unless your cam
bearing surfaces are way out of spec.  Using it will increase the load on
the distributor drive gear, and could push it over the edge and shear the
drive pin.  However, I've got probably 75,000 miles on one, and have seen no
problems.

So, it's an un-necessary risk from a technical standpoint, but probably not
a very large one.  If it makes you nervous, you could always sell it on the
list or on ebay, and go with a stock setup.

PS:  I'm putting one in my 3.6L engine because I'm adding oil jets to cool
the pistons, so I need more oil flow.  Unfortunately, I've already bought
one and installed it.  ;-(
