Mike,
One of the many myths

I've heard that THREE OPEN BOXCAR Loads of Completed Corvair Engines were
1.Disassembled and Aluminum pieces melted back down (pieces sent back to Alcoa in Northern NY from Tonawanda)
and
2.Dumped and used for fill when Plant 4 at Tonawanda Engine Complex was being built in 1970 (Became Vega Engine Assembly Line)

Frankly, I don't believe either.
