<VV> body advice

I have to agree with Alan on this subject. Even on this side of the pond 
99.99% of body repairs use bondo (plastic filler) as the final smoothing 
layer before priming. One should avoid using the old lacquer based putty 
( was red and green ) to fill pinholes and scratches like in the old 
days. Just as one should avoid lacquer primer surfacer. There are some 
wonderful catalized products to fill scratches and pinholes. So when a 
shop says they do not use putty, they could mean the lacquer stuff, or 
they use lead, or they just lie.
