<VV>Rocker panel replacement advice

When I do rocker panel replacements, as well as the jacks, I use a hydraulic ram or jack in the door opening to prevent the top of the door opening from closing in.  Since the internal "Z" section may be badly corroded, I replace it with a piece of 3/16" x 4" steel full length of the rocker.  I also spray all of the internals of the rocker panel ass'y with zinc, available in a spray bomb form.
