I resently purchased a GTech RR and today I finally had the oppertunity to
try it out in my Corsa. This little device measures accereration and calculates
 HP and torque.

Well, the results were very encourging. I have done some modifications to
the engine but never dreamed that what I did would result in what I saw on the
GTech, 396 HP at 180 MPH!

Of course I'm somewhat suspisious of that run (although I know some that
would believe it because the instrumentation never lies). The other runs did
result in more realistic results, 80 to 94 HP. These figures are HP at the
wheels above what ever the losses due to rolling friction and drag are. To
determine these losses, a coast down test must be done. I did do one coast down test
from 70 MPH. I have to process this data, the old fashion way, by hand, to
get the HP. I also did some braking tests that I'll be comparing to test I'll
do after some brake mods (Kevlar shoes and braided steel lines).
