Hey guys,
I am in the middle of my engine rebuild. Everything
is completly torn down, the crank is being ground at a
local machine shop, the cam is a big ? If I am
reading everything correctly, the cam I pulled out of
my engine, does not belong there. Here are the
details:
Block # T0516RD - 1965 Manual 110hp
Heads # 3856632 - 1964 110hp
Piston# 3819699 - 1964 164 cubic inches
1965-69 (exc. domed 164 cubic inches
Crank # 8409
Cam Gear# 6255610

Cam # 3839889 - 1960-69 80,84,&95hp

What does having a cam specified for 80, 84, or 95 hp
do in an engine of 110hp? I am assuming I should
order a new cam for #3872304(or sutable replacement)
Clarks offers several replacement cams for the 110hp
with different lift and duration.
Would I be able to use the cam I pulled out of the
engine? I am guessing my best bet is to get a new
one.
Thanks for your help.
Just wait till I get to the heads.
kurT
