Jim - Next time use the "free" tool - that is an old distributor with the  
gear removed and everything taken off the top. It works great for priming. (and  
it cannot fall in!)  Are you going to lower a magnet down the oil filler?  
Been there, done that! Usually to retrieve a distributor nut! Dang! Good luck!
