i never heard much turbo whine unless i drove it with no muffler. i have a "test pipe" i made to replace the muffler for adjusting valves with engine running and test drives. i have not been doing turbo work in some time now. it is a straight pipe with down tip on it, worked out nice for many years of work here.sounds neat also. regards, tim
