They work fine in 5000lb+ UltraVans.  Not sure why it wouldn't work in a 
'brier.   :)

In fact, my Ultra is probably the smoothest shifting PG of any Corvair I've 
driven.  If you were wearing ear-plugs and didn't look at the tach you 
would miss most of the shifts.
