<VV> speedometer woes.

My '64 Rampside had a working non FC speedometer (it indicated 0 to 100).  I replaced it with a correct FC sppedometer.  My intention was to take the working 0 to 100 speedo from the FC and install it in my Lakewood as the wagon speedo was not working.  When I installed the known working speedo  into the wagon it did not work when I hooked it up!  The cable spins when I drive it but I am at a loss as to where to go from here?  The speedo is fully greased and oiled and was working fine before.  What is up with this?  I appreciate any feed back.
