Being a newby and sort of dumb concerning automotive subjects, I need to know if the thermostats would affect the driving of a corvair. I might have to drive one for a few hundred miles and the guy said it needed a thermostat. Being an air cooled engine I am puzzled by the thermostat thing and wonder if it is essential for driving.
