Greetings from the cold north.
I just started cleaning out the '65 convertible I picked up in Vermont last
fall. I took out the seats, belts and carpet.  On removing the carpet I
found a layer of newspaper between the carpet and the floor. My question why
is the paper there?  The date on the paper is  Feb. 06 /1966. There is an ad
from Sears selling  tires from $14.00 to $22.00. Was it norm in those days
to spread paper under the carpet?
