I think that Alan did not send this. He's more of a libertarian anarchist. But I could be wrong and wouldn't be the first time either.

Regardless, Alan has some really interesting cars (Lancia's rule and Lotus rocks) as well as having one of the few Corvairs in the U.K. So, I really don't care what his politcal leaning might be.

Now, back to our regularly sponsored program...

I am determined to finish installing my interior this summer. I have worked at cleaning up the floor and carefully applying POR 15 and the semigloss top coat. I discovered water sitting on the floor one day after a hard rain. I searched all over for a leak to no avail. Then read a post on VV of all places describing possible water pooling caused by a plugged drain hole allowing water to come from the rocker area where the hot air diverters are located (this is an EM, which is a cool as a Lancia, only newer). I removed the fresh air vent, which I was going to renovate with new rubber from Steve Goodman anyway, and reached into the cavity. A four foot rattle snake had ... wait, wrong story. The cavity formed by the body sheet metal and the inner sheet metal was completely filled with debris including a large lump of body seam filler that was blocking the drain hole. I have since remove the fore mentioned debris and am in the process of renewing the vent assembly. One thing of interest though, the semigloss topcoat where the water had sat had become crisp like a potato chip. It is peeling up and I will need to reapply the top coat.

Subject: <VV> Alan's post??

Folks
I just checked my deleted posts file, and the only post I saw from Alan was
about Spence's car being found, going back to 05/19

I enjoyed this other post that Chuck seems to have sent to the list, but did
anyone else see this before this morning, coming from Alan?? I can't remember
it.

Hank
