Another nice thing about that is that it would bend, and not delaminate like
cardboard.  Good idea.

I use strips cut from an 18-wheel truck trailer mudflap.   No cardboard to 
rot or absorb water, fiber reinforced so it's tough, keeps a grip on a 
staple.
