Matt,

Holy crap, Batman! Even after doing a chunk of the
work, I STILL have a ton of metal to work out!  The
lower head on the picture shows that the gap between
the rocker galley and the topmost fin is, indeed,
meant to be open and both of my heads are, indeed muy
screwed!
With the heads in the car, I'm sure I wont be able to
reach around the studs, but I should be able to get
most of it.  I'd estimate the fins are/were 90-95%
blocked.
Thanks for the pix--it explains EVERYTHING!
