The last few times I started up my 64 Monza, it ran kind of poorly, stalling, barely wanting to move.  Today I had the cooperation of the weather, so decided to check it out.  Both chokes were closed and both damper doors were closed before trying to start it.  The last time I filled up with gas was before Katrina, not THAT long ago, but long enough.  Today I drove it, chugging and stalling, to my neighborhood gas station and filled it up.  As soon as I started it up at the pump I could tell the difference.  It ran good again and I took it for a drive.
Moral:  buy Sta-bil or fill it up more often  also don't overlook the dumb s**t.
