Thomas,  In the late 60's the big Opels I knew were Chevelles with new 
fenders.  The valve covers on the V8's had Opel name plates (or car names) riveted 
over the embossed Chevrolet names.  A friend used a Diplomat with hotrod small 
block in the local hill climb races.  He also raced his '69 Camaro.  He 
usually won.
