<VV> Still no proper idle

The latest opinions have been pointing to a dragging torque converter or a
frozen overrunning clutch as a possible cause.

I have not noticed any foaming of the fluid (though really have not looked
but no sign underneath). From what people have said, there should be a
100-150 rpm drop from Neutral to Drive and not the 250-400 rpm drop I am
seeing.

Is this something a torque converter can do ? It seems to shift at the
proper speeds/run fine when moving but am clutching at straws a bit any
more. Probably will go through carbs again next to check for any sediment
and bump the jets from 50's to 52's to see what happens since a lot easier
than dropping everything. (though suspect I'll have to buy an ATV jack).
