Yes; place the window in the channel without the ribbon, exactly where you 
want it, and tape the window in two places with masking tape. Slit the tape 
at the gap between the glass and the metal channel. This is a strip of tape 
about 6" long perpendicular to the edge of the glass to use as alignment 
when you put the glass in for real. Once the glass hits the ribbon; that's 
it; it doesn't move.
