Wouldn't it be important to also know which factory these production numbers
related to?

When GM made a running change such as this was it implemented on the same
day at all factories?

I have two 63 Convertibles.
First is early production,
117XXX -17 thousanth Corvair of 63 Has early gaskets
Second, is later production
256XXX  - 156 Thousandth Corvair of 63 Has late gaskets.

Hope that helps narrow it down.
