The thing about the platies is that they require a lower voltage to fire them, so they will run longer and still work if the ignition system gets weaker.

You get more power from a regular plug with a hotter spark and the Bosch plugs are very good.

Somewhere out on the ether of the internet there is a website that explains all of this, but for some odd reason the URL doesn't just pop into my head -- maybe if one were interested you could use the index (Google) to find it.
