While watching the Nascar Busch race and trying to cause trouble.......

I decided to D/ L this months V V Archive in the G'zip file format.

Sorry I ever had the idle thought....ggggg

It turns out that our V V server is a UNIX based system [ unix is Latin for
NERD] LOL!!!

So...without a manual in hand.....I decided to BREAK the Beast!

So if you are part of the 90% of Web users that have a Windows operating
system.....

Here's what to do!

ANY Win based ZIP utilitiy will work..PkZip / Winzip / 7-Zip /
PowerArchiver / Stuffit Expander, etc...

The file you will download will be named "YEAR-MONTH.txt.gz "

Windows programs do NOT understand the 2 "." [ dots]...only ONE is allowed!

RENAME the file [ right click!] " YEAR-MONTH.gz " [ forget the "txt"
]

Then double click on it and your Zip utility program will do it's thing!

You will see a file named for October 2005
"_home_mailman_archives_private_virtualvairs_2005-October.txt"

Right click and rename 2005-october.RTF [ Rich Text Format ]

Double click and WORD or WORDPAD will open it and you can read / search
easily...

Please SAVE this if you think you might use it!

As for me the Race....er..... crashfest is over! I'm of to the Casino!
