The VAST  majority of modern drivers never use the parking brakes on their 
modern  automatic cars... "that's what 'park' is  for"...

Ok - just one more post on this subject - there ARE some vehicles in which you MUST use the parking brake occasionally.  On '88 on GM full size pickups, with disk/drum brakes, the parking brake is used to adjust the rear brakes.  If you don't regularly use the parking brake, the rear brakes will become even more useless than they are when adjusted properly.
