Kent, thanks for the URL.  _www.garage-pak.com_ (http://www.garage-pak.com)  
was the company I was  thinking of.  Rather than worry about PVC, or figuring 
out how to do it  with copper, I think I will just call this company, give 
them the dimensions of  my garage, location of the air compressor and car lift, 
and have them design a  system that I can just put together.  I can run a hose 
along the ground to  my car lift for the time being.  Interesting discussion.
