i would almost bet on the hardest seal to replace being bad. the one at the 
nose of the pinion inside of the differential must be bad. i have seen this 
many times. the differential must be comepletely dissassembled to repair. 
i highly recommend the trans book and the differential book for technical 
info you will not find elsewhere. but get your shop manual out for this one and 
get a kit from clarks or lon. check all bearings while you can see them.when 
you get done you will understand differentials in a whole new way....slowly and 
cleanly is the secret...i think there are pictures of me doing it on the 
webpicture site.
