What's a knuckle dragger?
I've installed new fresh-air hoses without THAT much trouble. I have
fairly normal physical dimensions and capabilities, by the way (eyesight
fading fast).

Hokay. Tonight was replace the starter and the fresh air hose. PO had
provided a fresh starter since installed one kept popping out of mesh.
Fresh air hose (3") had come apart in my hands so latest from Clark's
included a replacement rubber one (said to last longer).

Did get installed but even with the starter out I needed the services of a
knuckle dragger. Finally managed to wrap myself around the shock and could
just reach the clamp with a 1/4" drive. Checked from underneath and was
over the diff. from passenger side, blower was in the way.

Finally managed to get one finger on top to hold the socket in place and
could turn wrench about 30 degrees so eventually it tightened & hope it is
on properly because even with mirror could not really see, just feel.

Obviously the factory installed the blower side before installing the
powertrain but how on earth are you supposed to do it with the diff in
place ? Did I miss something ? A matching hole to the air hose hole in the
shroud on the passenger side would have been nice.
