DOH! Problem solved - was only a fuse fix under the dash. Traced the power switch hot lead back to fuse panel, checked the in-line fuse, put back in and walla! Top working once again. Worst thing I did was pull the back seat and remove the screws holding the top well cover in place.

Thx for the input steve and corsabill!

Subject: 66 convt top problem

Hello all,
The power top on my 66 monza convt stopped working when I tried to raise top...no grinding noises, just died - I'm no expert, but thinking its electrical-related...I'm checking relays today (behind back seat and next to battery), as well as switch and fuses...here's my questions in case anyone has any thoughts...

- what fuse is used for the top motor? I can't find that info in my manual.
 - what's the best way / order to check the wiring path to see what's working?

Many thx

Rod...socal, vintage corvair club
