i had a 64 spyder convert for many years. i unzipped the window and placed  
it as flat as possible in the rear well before lowering the top. i saw a towel  
being placed in a show car window once so i tried that a few times.  the  
window started taking on a print of the towel in the heat so i would not do  
that. not sure what i would do now if i was leaving the top down a lot in the  
heat, but it would be something smooth and no print on it..maybe shiney  firm 
cardboard?  or just nothing   seemed ok. just be  carefull.
