<VV> Questions easy and hard

VVers:

Easy: What size wrench is needed for the stock oil pan drain plug on a 
LM corvair?  Is it 7/8"?

Hard(er): Are LM kick panels all the same?  Are there any differences 
year-to-year?  Any differences between A/C models and regular?  I 
remember reading something on VV about having to use a hacksaw to cut of 
a piece of one type of kick panel vent tube.  Why was this needed on 
some kick panels but not others.
