we usually have enough rain and lack of super heated days to keep our grass 
green and lush most of the time.(mow it once a week or else!)  the only issue 
at car shows on the grass here in most places is the freshly mowed  loose grass 
getting tracked into your cars. lay under a car on it to judge , it will feel 
like a good mattress and put you to sleep.  a huge show here on memorial day 
is at norwich ny, traditionally a mowed haylot at a large fairgrounds.  always 
come out of there with grass clippings in your  cars. but a great setting for 
a very large car show, even a bunch of corvairs show up. so bring a car cover 
or cardboard to lay on under those cars... now watch the weather screw up and 
make a liar out of me..............
