So that you don't have to wait 10,000 miles to check tread depth....

Inflate all 4 to MAX  press. marked on tire.......spray talcom powder on each 
tire's tread [ a 6"  stripe]   Get in....roll car far enough to put talcom on 
floor....rolll back...get out and look.

If only the center is touching..lower PSI...keep going until the tread 
touches 100%  across... then maybe 2 psi LESS....as the tires heat up when driven...

Normal is  15-22 frnt  and 24-32 rear.
